I? Now have a DVR. I got it this weekend. I can already tell this thing is going to CHANGE. MY. LIFE. How in the world have I lived this long without this?! Now I need to figure out what shows to record! I need advice, internets!
I am already addicted to:
UFC. Men in shorts, throwing down. Blood. Drop kicks to the head. TKO. Bring it, motherfuckers.
Martha Stewart. Need I say more? God I love that woman. I don't even care that she's a convicted criminal. I want to BE her. She's crafty, fashionable and bakes a mean pie. She gardens, she's green, she works out. She loves Dr. Andrew Weil. She makes beds with hospital corners, just like my mom taught me my grandma used to do. Love. Her.
Jon & Kate Plus 8. What can I say? I am shamelessly in love with this family. Every time I see those squishy little babies - 8 of them! Shit! - I get all fuzzy and melty inside. It anesthetizes my brain or something because I start thinking wouldn't it be kind of fun to have sextuplets? I mean really, biology is some scary shit to make an otherwise sane girl have these thoughts.
What else is out there? I know there must be excellent shows that I've been missing all this time because I typically sleep through most of prime time. (Hey, I get up at 5. Usually.)

heya..it's Amanda (somagirl on the TT forums). When I had cable and DVR (which I no longer do....sigh), I was absolutely addicted to Fight Girls on the Oxygen network. It's about Female Muay Thai fighters competing for a chance to fight in Thailand. They are fierce, strong, and also beautiful! I would get such inspiration from them....I don't know when the season starts, or if they are showing re-runs...but you should try to check it out! See you on the forums!
I am in love with everything Showtime. Completely worth the money, IMO. Dexter, Weeds, L Word, Tudors, Californication. All awesome writing and awesome shows. I just got into the Tudors this year.
I also watch teen drama like Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, reruns of Beverly Hills 90210 and the OC. It's really quite ridiculous. I LOOOOOOVVVEEEE Greek on ABC Family.
I am a sucker for the Ghost Whisperer.
Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern and Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations are both good. The best reality show right now is Food Network Star IMO.
I generally record everything I watch, except for Keith Olberman and Dan Abrams on MSNBC.

Heros. You need to go to Blockbuster and rent them and get all caught up from the beginning. They don't start again until the fall...but it's a great show!
I swear TiVo is god's gift to the human race-it's incredible! I have no idea what I was doing with my life before I got one - now I have 2. I watch all the crime/law shows - check out Criminal Minds for totally babe Shemar Moore (speaking of god's gift . . .)
I love Jon and Kate plus 8, but I highly recommend Iron Chef. NOT Iron Chef America! The original Iron Chef, in Japanese, dubbed in English. I used to watch it every night until Food Network stopped showing it at 10:00pm. Now it's on too late and I can't watch it.
